what causes cloudy water?
Just last week I was noticeing how clear my water has been, only to have it go cloudy almost over night. It has been that way reguardless of water changes. Nothing has changed that I test for. The water gets stored in a 25 gallon garbage can and is clear from the tap.

Re:what causes cloudy water?
In most cases its a bacterial ,diatomm or algae bloom. Something usually happens that upsets the balence in the waters normal flora or fauna. It usually resolves itself in time..but you may be able to help it along with extrafiltration, carbon, and aeration.
I would take a look at your storage bin and see if its slimy...it may be the source of your problem.

Re:what causes cloudy water?
after the chlorine off gases the bacteria can build up in ur storage tank..
I use an in-line UV on the tank, U can also use the UV on the storage water prior to filling the tank!! Flow rate is very important on these tho, so research is good.
