So about a yr ago a friend gave me the tank my discus are in. She told me it was 120 gallon and i never thought much of it. Well tonight was my first night doing an aged water wc and i noticed my tank was half full before i went half through the first 55 g drum. So i calculated the gallons with a formula i found online and turns out it is a 90 gallon. So i have purchased 11 discus for this tank... If i keep up daily wc will i be fine?

Its totally fine, no worries. The 10 gallon rule is a general rule. If you keep up with maintenance and water changes, it will be just fine. ;)

10 gallons per adult discus is a guide, you can exceed it with consistently good water care.

Jaimie, what are the dimensions? My 90 is 48x18x24.

41.5x23.5x21.5 and that multiplied then divided by 231 is 90.77

Jaimie I am of the opinion that Discus are happiest in dense groups anyway. when I added 2 more to my group, the aggressive behavior abated & they fed better (right now I have 7 in a 65 -- soon to be 9 in 75). it's a controversial subject, but I believe in overstocking IF you can maintain water quality.

+1 to all. If you can keep the water quality you will be fine.

I think you are 2 over the limit and the immediate remediate instruction is "you need to ship the 2 largest fishes to me asap" :D j/k ofcourse
