Hello,

I recently added a sump with a refugium to replace one of my canisters, so I could use filter sock to remove particles more often and hide parts like heaters etc. Since then I realized how difficult CO2 and sumps can be with overflows and swishy water. So my ph monitor and co2 diffuser hooked to canister has not been able to keep up. The tank is 72" long and the canister inflow and outflow are on apposing sides of the tank. I end up with one side with 7UP which I am concerned it might actually be too much CO2.

I was going to try to use excel for awhile instead of the pressurized CO2 system, but the PH will likely rise when I turn off the CO2.
Is a CO2 caused PH swing dangerous too fish like a normal PH swing?
