Transfer to another tank/ cycling question

I'm getting ready to switch my fish to a new 55 gallon bare bottom tank. The water is aged,up to temp and ready for the move. By moving a mature canister filter along with them, would that be enough maintain healthy water? Is there really much colonization on the glass anyways? Thanx for any info.

As long as you have a good bio load in the canister you could just move it over to the new tank for an instant cycle.
I would still monitor the ammonia and nitrites levels as well.

Sounds like a 100% WC. Would just keep an eye on the water tests to be sure that there is no ammonia spike, depending on the bioload that the canister has been supporting.
Keep some aged water on the ready.
