Hi guys,

One of my L46's got some tail fin damage and I cant sand they way it grew back. Ive never had the need to trim the fins on any of my fish so im just curious if its OK to do this on plecos and how I would go about doing it?
Thanks, Jeff.

I had a blue phantom pleco in with a large Henlei ray. The ray attached the pleco twice before I could get it moved out. Tail fin and top fin were pretty much half ripped away. I just left it alone and the fins have grown back almost like they were before. With a little more time I am sure they will look as they did originally.

Problem is the damage was done a month and a half ago, the fin fully grew back deformed, so its like split into 2 seperate parts. Like 2 fins it looks horrible LOL

Hi Jeff, not sure about pleco's but I bet you can trim the soft parts of the fin nice and even and have it grow back much better. Al has a thread around here doing that to a heckel. Believe the thread was called "Heckel Haircut".
