Stunting

So I am going to be getting some Discus in a month or so. Stendkers from a reliable supplier.

Am thinking of going for 3 inch fish.

At what size does the risk of stunting pass?
At what size are youngsters relatively safe from this??

5" should be pretty safe as well with 4". 3" if poorly taken care of you could still end up with a stunted adult. If you plan on doing growing out in a proper manner then they should be good. Also the only reliable source for stendkers is from Hans. LFS can't have them sitting around for months and still sell you stunted fish even though they're stendkers.

There is a supplier, who gets the fish directly from Stendker in Germany. Devotedly Discus. He has a very good reputation.
