Hi guys
In your opinio, what is the nicest looking Blue strain of discus?
I am about to set up a new tank and I want to populate it with blue discus only...but there are so many varieties that I would like to hear from you. I like intense color.
Thanks
Paolo

:bandana: You know what they say about opinions lol lol . Anyway some blues in juvies look different when they become adults. Cobalt blue or Blue Diamond are both stunning. "T"

What about Altum flora? Do they look nice as adults?

Those are great too. Kenny has some coming in soon, see his latest post for the preview. Kenny has nice giant blues too!

If you like intense blues, the more solid stuff like cobalts and blue diamonds would probably be a great choice. Just remember that they'll darken if the tank background/substrate is too dark, so adjust accordingly to make sure they really shine.

Mauro is right on ! -
My second choice is Blue Knights, but it`s real hard to beat quality adult blue diamonds - somewhat similar to the youngsters in my avatar.

Some nice HB Altum Flora's and Altum SS. Have a look at Jeffory's article on them at FTZ. I have found them a very tough strain.

Kenny has some high body blue diamonds. Also TNT Aquatics has highbody super blue angels and highbody royal blue titans which look like they will become stunners.

Paolo, they will be your fish so it is your choice! You do not say where you are located. Are you near any SD sponsors? Look at the inventory of SD sponsors and other on line Discus photos to see what you like.

Elliots, I have updated my profile, I am in Mass. Not sure if there is any big Discus collection near me...so far I got a few Albino Leopard Snakeskin from Kenny and I love them

I have had blue diamonds before. But then I tried Blue Scorpions.
As adults they have a darker blue with shades of yellow throughout
their body and fins. Photo was enhanced to bring out the yellow.

Al, the head person of SD is in Ct. Maybe Northford? Check the sponsor's list. He sometimes goes under the name Brewmaster. Maybe he is near you? He is a great source for FDBW to feed your fish and he may also sell fish.

Wayne Ng's Blue Knights easily take the top notch. All his solid blues are exceptional.

Blue turqs are nice, the variation in stripes serve as contrast to to blue colors.
