My Heckels

hi

i recently bought some heckels which were sold to me as unini heckels but as you can see from my pictures they seem to be very different from each other. please could you tell me what type of heckels they are.

The second picture looks to be a full Heckel and a nice one. The other two appear to be a heckel crossed with another wild but a guess on my part.

Hell, I like them all. At first I thought the first pic was my favorite but then I like the hell out of the thick-center-barred one in the next pic just as much. glen, sorry for not checking but do you have any posts with pics of your whole tank? If you do then I'd really like to check it out. Looks reeeaaaally good. Any background info on it would also be awesome.

And sorry I got off subject with your intent of the thread. Not sure on type. Do agree with Pat on the first one. Not sure if a natural cross in wild, a cross in a tank with another wild (green... maybe blue), or with a tankbred fish.

The first and third look like the wild blue x heckel crosses John (snookn21) had this past wilds season.

Well dang me, I never thought I'd see pics of my original discus from back in 1987! Pic two looks a lot like him, except that his base color was slightly lighter. The blue and yellow face is the part that shocked me. Awww, I miss my old fish!

Mine was sold to me as a "blue face" heckel. I have no idea whether or not that's a Unini Heckel or even a true heckel or possibly a cross.

Gorgeous tank by the way... love the layout and love the fish in there.

WOW whats shocking is that tank is pretty much exactly what i had planned for the 125 !!! thats nuts and BEAUTIFUL !! really lovely and beautiful beautiful fish.
