Hey,

I just restarted an aquarium after more than 10 years. Last time my aquarium was too small for discuses even though I always wanted to. Finally, now I have an 80 gal tank that I think my discus could be happy.

I found some guys in town that are importing Stendker discus from Germany a few times a year and was curious what is the death toll I should be expecting from transportation for some 2.5" fish, given the best shipping conditions you could imagine ?

Welcome to Simply. If you're here in the states, you shouldn't incur any death toll. Stendker Discus are just a Fed Ex overnite away. http://discus-hans-usa.com/ "T"

I am from Canada. I have a hunch they are importing directly from Germany.

Does Hans ship to Canada?

i don't believe he ships to Canada, but he'll ship to the one of the airports at the border for direct pick up. You could ask him!

I have Hans Stendkers and love them. Very healthy, hearty fish!

One more thing.
This club are importing only in increments of 3 the baby Discuses (2.5"). I should go for 9 or 12?
I have an 80 gal tank with 20 cardinals 4 Ramirezis and a bunch of oto catfish.

You will find quite e few importers in the Canadian Discus Forum. There are a couple from Montreal there.
