Has anyone used a feeding cone for freeze dried or frozen worms
I normally just stick the fd cubes to the glass but im wondering if this would be a good option for the frozen to stop them flowing around the tank
From reading customer reviews i have heard the holes may be too small
Worm cones are great for both..
For frozen worms.. open end up near surface..
Freeze dried worm. Open end down.... below water surface
Feed away

Oh I see so invert the cone and place say midway down the glass for FD
And open end out of the surface and right way up for frozen?

Thanks will have to get one of them
I'm guessing a large one would do best?

Yes, a larger one is better. How many discus do you have an what size is the tank. I have a 125 gallon and have twelve discus in there so I have three feeding cones so everyone gets some food.

55g? I think it's about 190 litres and 5 discus but then there are some tetras and rummy noses etc
Maybe one on either side would be better

Anyone possibly have a video or pic of the cones in action with the FDBWs?

Looks a pretty good way to feed them
Just need to get hold of a couple now
I keep finding them online at like $1-$2
Any uk suppliers I find seen to be like £5 each wonder why they are so much more here

This is the only one I could find showing the cones upside down I use them in any tank that has a sump or on a system so the FDBW wont float around......Josie

wiz, that's pretty cool.. can you tell me what you made it from?
Sent from my Galaxy S3
It was inside of a big candy with a surprise
For example the most usual is the "Kinder surprise" but there are others with different sizes, like "Chupa Chups"

*edit* phone shown the diy post... Makes sense now lol :)
Good idea! Does it sink though or did you weight it down?
that would not work well in a Barebottom tank.. :/
It is attached to a little stone to sink, I dont need to put my hands in the water.
You can use a suction cup if you prefer.

I like the idea of dropping it in cos that might stop the tetras getting to it so much
Could tie some cotton to it so I can drag it out too
On a side note... Will discus eat chopped prawn?
Tetras eat the excess of the discus

Tetras eat the excess of the discus
Yeah they are pretty good at that especially the tiny bits
And What they miss the cories get
