I found different opinions outside of SD while surfing the net but wanted to ask in here when it's safe to use pvc glued PVC pipe in the tank. Not gluing portions that are inside the tank. Plan to use Oakley brand.

Kind of bored in delivery room waiting on wife to have second son. Waiting to her to be induced and have ipad to keep me busy. Not allowed to talk with nurses anymore because my wife says I'm joking around too much for this early in the morning.

My contractors just finished that last night on my tank, they used the standard old PVC glue and nothing special about the process. It's safe, and I'm guessing it would be completely dry in a day.

Good luck on the delivery today!

I know that some reefers are using WELD*ON for their cleaner and glue for the sump plumbing so I would assume that would be ok in freshwater applications as well.

Usually PVC glue works in a few minutes. I have used a piece jointed together in as little as one hour with no issues.
