Hi everyone, my first post and somewhat an avid lurker of this awesome forum!

Here are some shots of my discus fishes. Enjoy.

Also can someone tell me in the last pic what strain this discus fish is? Thanks!

Welcome to Simply. While I am not as knowledgeable as some around here, I'll dip a toe in and say it looks like maybe a Brown or an Alenquer. I like it's halo, BTW.

Andy, Welcome to Simplydiscus.

my wild guess is virgin red.

I can see that possibility. It could also be a Red Cover.

Hello everyone! Sorry for the late reply, but my father got these discus a year ago from Florida, not sure who specifically. We bought a total of 12 and now down to 9 :(, but they're all healthy now!

Also in the last picture, I would like to mention that she had some weird coloration many months ago where her skin would shift colors from dark to light, back and forth. It doesn't happen now, but I assumed it were stress bars.

In the third picture, I have a behavioral issue that has been going on for a few weeks now. The blue cobalt would periodically creep on my P.B. They are both females by the way and she usually peck the other discus females away. What does this mean?

Thank you again.

Andy

Hi Andy,

Welcome. It does resemble a Red Rose, somewhat.
