Very nice... Definitely interested in the fry when they are available.

Rick, do you take out the filter and leave only airline and heater during the attachment period?

Beautiful pair you have Rick. Please keep us updated with their development.
Who wouldn't want a few of those swimming in their tanks?

Thanks

Ha haa... got a good laugh out this one. Was definitely shocked to see parents of the same strain within one of Rick's threads. They look great! I do love the hell out of Rick's "mad scientist"-like threads. A few crosses that I thought would produce some ugly ducks ended up awesome. On top of that, gotta love the dedication he has for documenting all the different pairs/fry he has.

LOL,

The joke will be on all of you that are so suprised to see me pairing two of the same strain. With this pair I am expecting at least 3 different phenotypes (if not more) from the offspring.

Hello Rick, that is a beautiful pair. I definitely would like to purchase one of the offspring when they are old enough. I live in your neck of the woods so I could pick up.

Yea just one,;). I think a snow leopard similar in coloration to the pair you have would fit in my tank perfectly.

I followed you in the Hobbyist Challenge and think your knowledge and Discus are fantastic.

Rick,

Are the bottom and sides of this tank painted, or is that a substate?

I have to admit, these are some of the slowest growing, most fragile fish I have worked with to date. Going to get a second batch going soon after NADA and change a few things to see if I can get better growth.

Here are a few of the goldens SS this pair threw:

I found the F1 from my SW x Leopard are some of the fastest growing and hardiest discus I have had they 8 months about and some are getting to the 5" back march the largest was 4". They have been shifted 1300 km since then and have settled in well.
