Hi All,
Instead of getting the 2 adult Discus as planned, I traded them for 4 Juvies. It was touch and go there for awhile; however, all 4 are doing really well and I’m recovering from my nervous breakdown...:)
Here are some things I learned that may be helpful to others.
10 gals is WAY to small for a grow out tank. Would not hold water parameters no matter what I tried. Put them into the 47 gal and it made all the difference.
Had to find new homes for Red Tail Shark and big Angle Fish. My Red Tail had never been aggressive before but he sure enjoyed terrorizing these little guys. The Angle Fish was not aggressive they just weren’t taking any chances and wouldn’t come out of the corner.
Peppering is just about gone on all 4.
These fish require a LOT of patience. You can REALLY tell when they are unhappy.
Everything finally came together. They are happy and even starting to like me.
Eating like pigs. All 4 of them....:)
