I made an air operated bio filter with hair rollers At the dollar tree I bought the small plastic hair rollers. These I cut up and removed the inside plastic. Then I turned the rings inside out. A plastic pop bottle was drilled with three holes on top in the middle of the fingers. Around the sides near the bottom I drilled 5 holes. In the neck I drilled one. The cap was attached with silicone to a tile. A ir hose was threaded through the drilled neck out through the top of the bottle where an airstone was attached. This was then put back into the bottle through the neck. I had to add some pebbles as my tile was not heavy enough to hold the bottle on the bottom. The cut and inside out curlers are added to the bottle. The air stone is placed on the opposite side of the bottle from where the holes are drilled in the bottom. I used a rubber band to hold the air line next to the bottle.
