Do you know what strains are these? Are they the same strains? Seems like a pair but why one red one blue?

They are about 6 inches.

The experts might know better than me. However, If I can guess: the yellow one is Albino Golden Leopard and the Blue one is Penang Eruption

Hi K's,

The first one is not an albino. Iris is not completely red. Maybe Golden Eruption Leopard. Second one looks more like a Super Eruption since it has more spots. Although it could be a PE. Whatever they are, they're beautiful fish:)

Yes, you are right. The eyes are not red, so is not an albino strain. Thanks for the info on Golden and Super Leopard! :)

So true, Melissa! Still, when someone asked, I want to be able to share the correct name... :D

By the way, these 6" Leopards are selling at USD30 each. The LFS said it is not even enough to cover the food to grow them this big! :p

not sure, they are quite old or big already. I bought them at a lfs.

I know you want someone who knows what they're talking about to answer, but unfortunately, here's another "I'm not sure, but" answer: I THINK that they are both just different color variations of the same breed, a Penang Eruption Leopard. I believe fish work much like dogs - the same breed can have a few different possible color variations. I have a discus very similar to your red/blue, and it was sent to me when I purchased a Penang Eruption Leopard. However, I also see many fish like your golden one advertised as the same breed.
