I had a Boyu Canister filter with UV working and when I cleaned it one day I found it was difficult to fill in the aquarium water even though I filled about 80% of the canister with tank water after putting in the bio media trays so that the primer will not have much stress to pull in water. But to my surprise the prime button when I pushed it in it came out a couple of times and then it got stuck and I tried pulling it out but it is very tightly stuck. The water was not flowing through the inlet and outlet pipes. I opened the canister lid and tried pulling up the prime button again but it was futile. What could be the reasons and what is the remedy.
