Hi everyone new to the forum. I signed on looking for advices and such..

Any ways I'm in the process of starting a discus fish room in my garage.

My question is... Will a 2x4 rack withstand the weight of three 40B on a three tier?
I believe it will if done right, but looking for anyone who've done this before and done it right.

Thank you in advance...

Yes, it will work if built correctly.

Thanks again for everyone's input.

I ended up building the racks anyways. Two racks with three tanks stacks on top of each other.
But haven't tested the rack with the top tank filled.

Thanks again.

Is the lowest tank close to the floor, like the first shelf? I'd worry about the rack being to top heavy so I'd make sure that first tank is almost on the ground holding the base. I build mine almost exactly like that link shows. Like said above, if built correctly and with careful choice of boards (lol) you shouldn't have any issues.
