To be determined. We will take requests from existing clubs who are interested in hosting the show. They will be evaluated on several things including but not limited too location, experience in hosting shows, attendance in past NADA's.

so when and where is the next NADA?

REALLY!? the tanks are still wet from Sunday.. LOL..

but yes..

that is still to be determined.. if there is a club/group.. that would be willing to host it.. contact one a NADA member and we can put you with the right information..

i can tell you that it will need to be a team effort for 2016.. but there will be plenty of help from DALLAS, ATLANTA and AUSTIN Veterans.. :)

That is a hard one to peg down. Registered there will be between 80 and 100 but that can be misleading. Since the show itself is free you will get lots of locals that come through but never register. You also have the situation like mine where I register but my wife and kids have no desire to hear the speakers so they don't. There were 5 of us there but our "official" number was 1.

I am still going try and get MWDH club to be a part of NADA 2016 in the Chicago/Milwaukee area. Since NADA just ended, I believe we has some time to get our ducks in a row providing we have some drinks and discuss what our chances are going to be. We have some creative minds in the club and well, if we think about it hard enough and over a few cocktails, I am sure we can work something out.

Never say die attitude!

Always if chance willing, we MWDH folks are ready to dedicate time for it..

John_Nicholson

Works for me. Only a 14 hour drive. The only trouble with Chicago would be the increase in cost of everything that is connected to a union. Down here we do all of the setup and tear down. Would ya'll as the local club get to do that or would you have to hire it out?

DiscusLoverJeff

When I sponsored Sportscard shows at hotels, I did all the setup and tear-downs. The only union effect will be if the hotels are union run or not.

Hopefully we can get this part of it worked out first in finding a location suitable for everyone.

You are not kidding. It is a great variety. The fish room has never been more impressive. The one thing I refuse to do is pull them out to measure them. I am afraid they would kick my A** they are so big. Again Hans I really appreciate everything. By the way getting those bag liners into the tanks was a killer. Between lifting the bags, the drive and the carpentry I did with Matt and John I think I will start going to the health club again. It would be easier. This fish stuff is hard work.

Too bad to hear that. I think SoCal would be an IDEAL place with some of these STRONG POINTS:)

Orange County (any city):

Fishing: manly-man stuff like ocean 1/2 Day or 3/4 Day trip for yellow tail, sand bass, etc. Not to mention plenty of freshwater...
Attractions: family fun Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Downtown Disney, water parks....and so much more
Beaches: beautiful Newport Beach, Seal Beach, Balboa Penninsula, Dana Point, Laguna Niguel...
Shopping: high end South Coast Plaza, Catalina Island, Brea Mall and SO MANY MORE ladies:)....lol

Getting in and out is a breeze with John Wayne Airport in OC, located close to Los Angeles and San Diego. The weather is beautiful, great food, and it even has a show named after it....."The OC". LOL

Temecula:

Things you can do here include; casinos, over 15 places to go wine tasting...I guess that's all I know about this place. Lol. But it is only about 45mins-1hr from San Diego, Anaheim, Los Angeles (hour+). But a beautiful small town feel surrouded by green hills and pictureque mountains.

San Diego:

Fishing: Same as above except much better fishing here. Both fresh water and ocean
Attractions: world famous and family fun San Diego Zoo, Seaworld, Legoland, Wild Safari, Balboa Park, Belmont Amusement Park, Gas Lamp District<<<Lots of bars
Beaches: party on Mission Bay, Princess Island, Sunset Cliff....and so many more I have forgotten names. Btut they are all close to each other

Just mintes away from Mexico bargain basement and nightlife..:) GREAT TIMES....lol. Well at least in my younger days:)

I think any of the above places would be great for NADA 2016. I'm sure I'd left out a lot of places and things since there are so many:)

Noticed I did not mentioned LA:0....hmmm

Not exactly a centrally located site, is it?

Not if you are referring to it geograhically. But centralized enough for people from AZ, TX, NM, NV, OR, ID and near by vicinty to drive. For the flyers, maybe most can take Southwest's cheaper flights:)

Look on the bright side, there are plenty of good places to plan your FAMILY vacation:)

Edit: I also see the difficulty for a place in the West would be because most of the SD sponsors are are on the East....LOL

And the fact you live near by has nothing to do with it? LOL

Considering it was just in Texas, I would think it better to move the next site East a bit, not further west. Although, it takes a strong club first and foremost. In the long run I will be there regardless.

We go through this every time. Wishing it was where you want does no good and saying you think there should be plenty of people to do it does no good. What it takes is someone to step up to the plate and say "we will do it and this is how". NADA doesn't look for a great place and then figure out how to do it there. NADA looks for great people to say they will do it at their great place. The group that does decide to do the Show isn't left out on their own though. NADA provides the funding and also provides NADA members experienced at putting on the Shows to be a part of the team. If you think your group can make it happen then contact one of us and discuss the requirements so you fully understand what it entails and then you can submit a bid to put on the NADA 2016 Show. Ideally we would like to have a group chosen in the next several months.

We only have NADA every other year. It was a concept I thought up at the very beginning. When you are talking about a interest as small as one particular type of fish it would be very hard to keep it fresh and new if you did it every year. Also by skipping a year it build interest. It takes a lot of hard work by a handful of dedicated people to pull one of these off. We are becoming known as a club that has shows that are second to none. I do not want to lose that because we got greedy and tried to have too many shows. I would rather have one kick *** show every other year than one sorry *** show every year. While we did have a delay or two I do have the hosting application in my hot little hands. If you are interested in hosting the 2016 show you need to PM me an email address that you would like the application sent to and a short write up on your plans.

Thanks.
