I am trying to decide which filter to go with.

My criteria for importance is ease of cleaning, and good filtration as well as water change capability.

Also I would like a filter where I can use pre-drilled holes for best aesthetics.

I was told to use 2 x FX6 or consider a SUMP based filter system

Does anyone have any experience with SUMP system.

You can go with wet and dry sump system. It's very easy to maintain.

Hi, if I was you I will use the 2 fx6! Or if you decide to go with wet/dry I highly recommend DIY, it's way cheaper if you do it. If need any assistance on how to make let me know.

Ok so I have decided to go with a 100 Gallon system 48"X18"X24"

Given this, I am not sure wet/dry sump is really necessary.

Would 1 FX 6 Fluval be too powerful? Should I go with a lesser Fluval 406?

I recently switched my 90 gallon over to this filter. And the price was well worth it.

Puts out a lot of water at 528 gph. It has a nice size spray bar that can extend almost 30" across.
