These heaters have a warrantee for life. I just sent 4 back to the company at a cost of $7.50 for postage and received 4 new ones.

Did you have to call them first, get a case/RMA number before shipping to them?

I called them and talk to a guy name Brian. No RMA number was givem Brian said to put his name on them so I shipped them and 4 days later I had new heaters.

I wish I had known this a week ago! I had one split along the seam & I just pitched it! I'm slowly switching over all my jagers to aequeons. I've had problems with my jagers fading over time & not being able to keep up temp even with a controller.

Great customer service at aqueon, I was disappointed that one of my heaters broken after 1 month of use.

I contacted them (email) and they sent me a new one (2weeks time) and what a surprise I got, they sent me the latest version. I'll stick with them on heaters from now on!!!

2 weeks? They're slipping. I've called them a couple of times and had a replacement in a day or two. Of course being less than a hundred miles away probably helps. :)

Does anyone have problem with Pet Central aka Aqueon replacing heaters the second time? I had them replaced a 250 watts pro back in 11/2013. Yesterday, I was about to feed the fish, open the lid and it felt warmer than usual, checked the thermostat on the glass, couldn't read it. Got my infrared thermometer out, it registered @ 90.8 F while the heater was only set @ 82 F. I called PC and they told me the only replace the original heater, not the replacement. I asked them about their life time warranty, they repeated only apply to original heater. Buyers beware.
