I've got tons of fry from a Stendker Tefe female and a Stendker Red Turquoise, both from Hans. I entered the first picture in the October picture contest, thanks to those who voted for me ! ! !, but I couldn't compete with the winner. BUT, these fry are definitely active, and grown to two inches in 8 weeks. The pictures after the parents are the fry.

Are all your fish Stendker descendants? Figured another type of german fish is my best bet for low risk quarantine.

All the adults I have I bought from my brother Hans, who imports Stendkers. So, any fry I have are fry from Stendkers. I can't say the fry are Stendker because they aren't, only the parents. -Don

Just gauging the the exchange of pathogens. If/when I do make an order had your discus come from all over the place, that would mean I need to be extremely observant with quarantine. I have yet to ever mix my discus sources so I am gathering as much info as I can before I begin quarantining and mixing fish.

You know how Hans always recommends to go with only Stendkers or bad things could happen right? I have yet to see a bad mix of discus so I am just very paranoid. Thanks for answering all my questions Don, I will let you know if I ever plan on adding to my grow out collection (would love some but no money at the moment).

Don's suspending his fish shipments until he can get a better solution than USPS. So unless you are capable of picking up the fish from his place, he needs time to work out a better method for now.

Even if the destination is rather close, it is probably better to let him find a new shipping provider beforehand so he can build up his shipment history with the company of choice.

Just a quick update: they still need a few more months to show their adult colors but my Discus from you look to be more "Tefe" than "R/T" which is a good thing. I could hide a baseball behind the biggest one.
