Potassium Permanganate as a sanitizer

When you use pp as a sanitizer for your equipment do you want it in the 2-4 ppm or does it need to be higher?

bad choice of words rick i said equipment i was specificly wondering about it for my sponge filters or do you use bleach for them too?

No bleach on the sponges... for them 1) boil for an hour or
2) soak in waterrinse out all organic matter and microwave until steaming!

Both PP and Bleach are oxidizers, both would be rough in a high dose on a sponge.
