Hi....just wondered if any one else had come across this before. I have a system that heats the tank with a heat exchanger thats non-electric. Id noticed before that the pump seemed a little underpowered, even tho it was rated at 10000 lph for a 110 gal tank (93+17 sump) so i bought a 2500 lph eheim and put it in line with the other. Since then, flow is far better, and it has maintained a temp of 28.2 inlet and 28.5 outlet, exactly what its programmed to (hex cutout at 28.6), which is astounding. Im presuming that the resistance of the pipework (quite narrow) and heat ex, plus the shear heat of the 2 pumps is maintaining the temp. Anyone else had this happen?
