No they are default settings on iPhone 6. I have two lights on two separate timers. Blue in back and white low light in front. I keep up with water changes. Plants are artificial. 4 large canister filters with two chemi pure elite grands one in each Fx6 and two 2217s. I also run a 36w UV.

Some pix on iPhone 6 are a little pixelated but overall happy with outcome.

Beautiful!! Thanks for sharing. Your lighting is certainly causing those blues to standout. Very clean/polished looking water column. Those canisters are certainly in overdrive. I would add a solid red golden melon to the gang ;-). BTW, how big is this tank?

Thank you. The tank is 150G deep dimension. I do need some red. I had one but traded up and waiting on my supplier to get a new group in to review

What type of substrate are you using? Very nice set up. Love the artificial plants. And schools of tetras.

How many filters are you using?

Thank you I'm using pool filter sand and I just changed out my old substrate for sand several weeks ago. Was such a big project that I almost needed a few days off from work to rest. I was using a mixture of sand, gravel and riock which I do not recommend.

I am running 2 Fluval Fx6 large canisters and 2 Eheim 2217s and a 36W UV. Each Fx6 has a combination of Biomax, Matrix media and ChemiPure Elite Gand size in bottom trays. The Eheims are using standard Eheim media. I control flow on surface. I also have an air wall in the back of tank and I run 2 Hydor powerheads at 40 GPM low flow at opposite ends of bottom to control dead coming and move debris in circular low flow current to back left corner of the enclosure where the Fx6 intakes are located. The Fx6 canisters are excellent mechanical filters.

Wow that's a lot of filters, I did read some where that over filtering has no benefits due to not enough bio waste for the beneficial bacteria colonize so many filters, not sure how much truth is in that, its just something I read when I was keeping malawi's. very nice looking setup well done..

You are correct in that the amount of ammonia produced by his bio-load directly correlates to how much beneficial bacteria is present. His tanks BB will be spread among the 4 filters -same amount of BB, just spread out. His benefit to over-filtration is crystal clear, clean water and less filter cleaning. Granted, when it is time to clean filters, he has more to clean... I would take this trade off any day.

Beautiful tank and do discus. The seventh picture from the top. Are those keyhole cichlids ?

They look more like some strain of Acara cichlid.
