chat rooms?

I was thinking, with all these members both new and old. Wouldn't it be nice to just be able to chat to someone or have a group discussion or even when you need to make a quick decision and need a 2nd opinion ASAP. The forum system is great but a chat room is a place where you can get a more in depth conversation on the subject at hand. Just a suggestion. 😊

We've had chat on and off in the past. There are a number of reasons why it has fallen into disrepute/disuse - many didn't use it and moderating it was at best challenging. The biggest issue though is the disproportionate adverse impact on the server.

I'm not saying we won't do it again, but we don't have any plans in the short term to do so.

Austin, we also now have a facebook group for SimplyDiscus... https://www.facebook.com/groups/795034917244072/

Which will fill that need, until we have time to consider adding Chat back again.
