Auction Rules:
1. You have to be a registered member of the forum for at least five days prior to the start of the auction. Any bid received from a member not meeting this criteria will be deleted. This applies to public or sealed bids.
2. "Sealed bids" must include the bid amount, members username, and full real name. Only one "sealed bid" per member per auction group. "Sealed bids" can be submitted via email to bids@simplydiscus.com.
(A note on sealed bids...In addition to the normal auction we do, We will be accepting "Sealed Bids" via email. Basically, A member will be able to submit their best bid via email which will remain confidential and private. This is their "Sealed Bid" After the auction closes those sealed bids will be opened by two members of the SimplyDiscus team and the winner will be announced based on the highest bid per auction (looking at both "sealed bids" and "in-thread" auction bids). We will only accept one sealed bid from each member for the duration of the auction. If a member who submitted a sealed bid sees the highest "in-thread" bid is greater in the auction thread then their sealed bid then that member can bid in the auction thread and perhaps win the auction. You can not change the amount of your "Seal Bid" once placed nor can you retract it once you make it. The amount of your "sealed bid" is not public knowledge unlike the "in-thread" auction bids. Do not post what your sealed bid is...it can only be emailed to the specified address.
So there will be two types of bidding; "in-thread" auction threads bidding as we have done in the past and now, "Sealed Bids" via email.)
3. The auction ends at Sunday, March 1st at 8:00 PM EST (eastern standard time). Any bid time stamped 8:01 PM or after is considered null and void. This includes any posted bid or sealed bid. The time stamp of a sealed bid is upon receipt in the email inbox.
4. Canadian members may participate if they can take delivery of the auction fish within the US. Please contact Josie prior to bidding to ensure a delivery location. Also ensure you are aware of any paperwork required to bring the fish into Canada.
5. We have tried to anticipate all issues and make the rules clear and concise, but should an issue or problem arise we maintain all rights to resolve it as we see fit. You agree to this by your participation in these auction.
6. For this bid format, Moderators and Admins will not be allowed to participate.
