I'm in the planning stages for a 120 gal planted discus aquarium. I like sumps and wet-dry systems, and will be setting up an Eshopps wet-dry with sump rated for 200 gal. It comes with bioballs, but I also have (new - unused) Fluval ceramic and glass bio-media as well. Which will serve me better?

This also may be a dumb question, but... for my old reef system, which I will be dismantling, can I use some of the old ceramic biomedia from my old system to seed the new one, after rinsing it in fresh water? (I have well water, some of which will go through RODI). Thanks

The ceramics are supposed to have the most surface area and grow more bb. You could always mix them if you don't have enough ceramics to fill it.
