Hi,

I have Methylene Blue in powder form. So can anyone please tell me what is the water mixture ratio to prepare a good solution for discus egg fungus protection so that i can use 1drop/gallon directly into water? I have heard that discus may dead if MB is higher into water.

Waiting for your feedback.

Thank you.

1 teaspoon of powder to 8ounces of distilled water gives a 2.3% solution.
Use 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons of water.

Thanks. 1 have around 60 gal so I will use 6 teaspoon. It gonna be very deep dark blue color i guess, becoz once i used it in a community tank (non discus) 1 tea spoon for 80 gal and color was really dark blue.

Few more question please ?

1. How long it would be effective in tank (80% ro + 20% tap with TDS = 60~100ppm, PH 6.8~ 7.8, temp = 29 ~ 31c) ?
2. is there any side effect if powder amount is more, by any change? if yes, then how can I be sure the dose is over ?
3. What will be wc change schedule after MB implemented ?

I think i misunderstood the amount. u mean first we make 2.3% MB solution, then we will use 1 tsp of 2.3% solution for each 10gallon of water. isn't it ? anyway I m using ro water instead of "distilled water". is that ok ?

Yes. First make 2.3% solution then add 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons of water. And yes RO water is fine instead of distilled.
