I recently had the opportunity to attend and film Al's(forum owner) talk from here at Simply Discus.

I feel as though he touched base on essentially every thing you need to know about discus!

Thanks for sharing! An enjoyable presentation and valuable resource for those like me in the midst of preparing for a first attempt at discus. It's nice to learn in a variety of ways, and a medium like this that conveys information while also serving as an introduction to the person/people behind the forum is a real plus. Great complement to the stickies (esp. "The Beginner's Guide to Getting Starting with Discus" and the search function.) Worthy of a prominent place on the site so it is visible to other newcomers, IMO.

Thread is currently a sticky in this thread, but eventually we can move it to the beginner section as a great intro primer :)

Great info session. As a newer member here and long time hobbyist that is getting prepared for my first true (done correctly) discus tank, I can say this is a MUST see for people such as myself. New and older hobbyist will benefit. Well presented Al, congrats, and true to form Joey, well filmed. Thank you both for making this available to those of us that couldn't be there.

I just finished watching and thought this was excellent, you did a wonderful job Al.

I meet many that can't fathom the reasons behind daily water changes or a bare setup, I'll simply forward the link to this video from now on so thank you for making it available Joey.
