I have mine submerged in one tank tied to the driftwood and in another tank tied to the overflow pipe.

I have had real success with this plant. Keep the roots in the water and the rest lit above it. 5 vines are all doing well on my 135

I managed to tie mine to the center brace of a 55gallon with just the roots in the water. Great growth of leaves and the roots just keep getting longer and longer might have to trim them actually.

ive had pothos rooting in my aquariums for many years. just submerge the stems and they do the rest. they do best in rooms with natural light from windows. when they grow too long u can just snip the ends off, remove the bottom leaves, and root those new cuttings in the tank, or give them away to friends etc. just keep the leaves above water (as they can rot when submerged).

I divide my photos plants on two half on top floating as usual, and the other half underneath the cabin/stand on my sump, with and LED light. I usually rotate them once a month or two as the ones on the sump tend to do better.

I just have mine free floating on the top of a grow out tank. Trimmed them off my mothers pothos plant in August, the roots are now over 6" long.

Do you need to prepare it, before you dump it straight in the tank? I presume you need at least to wash in tap water to wash off earth, dust and possible used pesticides?

I just rinsed it off in some water first and made sure there was no dirt / dust on the plant.

First, there is no need for bb tanks for tetras. Second, all three species have to be kept in groups (congo tetra need much longer and larger aquarium).

Yea they will eventually go back in my 55 or 75 bare bottom where they used to be i took them out so i could give my blue royal juveniles sometime to grow out with less compitition for food - Lighthouse
