once my tank is cycled & ready...

I plan on starting my tank with about 6 juveniles in my 60gal once it's cycled... What is the best suggestion as far as purchasing fish?

Should i buy all my juveniles at once? Is it acceptable to buy like half first then add the other half soon after, like a few weeks apart?

is it suggested that i medicate the first batch?

You should get all 6 at once, all from the same source. It's much easier because you avoid quarantine. Also in groups of less than 5 or 6 sometimes aggression can be a problem.

Try to getting your juveniles from a local breeder or one of the sponsors.If you are getting them from local fish stores make sure they are a reputable one when it come to Discus care.Most of the time Discus from local fish stores are stunted and not in very good shape.
