I think it would be best if you shared much more info on that tank before deciding if you should dive in...

I also think you should read the stickies and watch Al's video! (surprised Akili didn't tell you that, I guess more fdbw points for me! haha jk)

Are you ready to do what is necessary to keep these fish happy and healthy? If you can answer yes and provide more info than myself and others can help you decide if it is a go and help you decide what to get and how to start!

I will say that it looks nice so far, but I notice a lot of thick substrate and plants which can be very tricky for newbies... my first piece of advice would be to go with larger sub adults... but that also depends on the size of that tank as it is deceiving tucked away in that cabinetry...

sorry something went wrong .so couldnt post pics properly My old discus are housed a bare bootom 2 ft tank. big 7 of them with 2 of them 5 to 6 inches. My concerns are whether big fish will look better or a shoal of fast moving tetras as its just a 4 feet tank. Also i have used a powerhead for circulation and my discus are not going to like it. Temperature is not much of a concern as my discus are used to fluctuating temps.

Stand I got it made according to specific instructions. All the attachments including CO2, cannister, timers etc are completely invisibe

Yeah, I thought about making a stand similar to yours where it hinges open to hide the back plumbing. I may still do this in a current build I am doing, but we shall see.

Thanks for the responses but I would like to add that I am not a newbie as far as discus are concerned. Earlier I have
done low tech setups successfully threads of which I have posted earlier. My main concerns are about
esthetics, high bioload and increased water circulation as I am more inclined towards achieving a better planted tank. Also little tired of daily water changes. But when I see my beautiful discus I don't feel like giving them up....
