What kind of discus did I buy.

I am new to discus owning about six months. I bout these two at a pet store that were a trade in and store didn't know what kind they were. Owner had told store they were a breeding pair but who knows I just liked them. I was thinking blue scorpion or blue turquoise. Anyone know what they are. Hope pic showed up.

Welcome to simply Discus Kirk.

The first closest one looks closer to a Blue Scorpion but think some cross with either Blue Turquoise, Cobalt, Blue Diamond.
Regardless they look to be decent looking and hope they turn out to be a breeding pair.

I agree with Ralph, while the one in the back appears to show more of the blue turquoise bar running through the eye and more uniform marking through out the body.

If they are different types what would that do to the fry. Are they worth breeding. Sorry if silly questions.

Hard to say exactly what you would get. The majority would be blue turqs, I'd think you'd like also get scorpions and BDs.
