Indeed Stan except when the planes well really fast. The only downside is I only stored jpegs. Managed to turn off the saving from my raw files messing with ControlMyNikon app. I was horrified when I discovered that. :(

Thanks Ricardo, I was surprised to discover that many of the shots were actually decent (in focus etc) making it a bit harder to find those really good ones :)

Indeed a P51 and an F-16. Its called the Heritage Flight. It's usually a P-51 and then another piece of modern equipment. It is a representation of past and present in military machinery. I've seen this a few times at airshows and is always a very eye catching display.

Thanks Al :D. I used my Nikon D7000 body which is the only one I have paired with a 70-300 lens for most of the shots. Later in the day I switched to a 80-400 to use during the night show. I discovered (and wasn't surprised) that I found the limits of both as shown in this photo. Note the grainy sky. If you look close there is a man jumping from the plane which was 5000 feet up. All the shots were handheld.
