Well, I'm gonna take a stab at discus here. I have had many fresh water tanks over the years, as well as salt water. I use an ro buddie system for my water. I have a 35 gallon storage tank and a 55 gallon vertical poly tank for storage. I will post alot of pictures as progress continues. I travel for work a week at a time so I will be at idle for a week then alot of activity seems how I sit home bored. As of rite now I have my 55 gallon tank setup cycling with a marineland emperor 400, sponge filter. I have on order rite now my aquatop cf300, automatic fish feeders, mag drive 6 for my auto water change system. I drilled my tank so I can do auto water changes. My pump will be hooked up to a wireless reciever with a transmitter to simply press 1 button to start the pump for draining then go switch a few valves them press the button to turn it on again and it will top it off. I plan on building a stand this week when I get home. For now here is a picture of the tank as it sits

Get ready for a lot of water changes!!!

Make sure you plan on vacing and doing bigger changes when you are around the auto will help while away but you still will need to vac up all the garbage and do bigger volume changes when around...

I have a 55 an overstocked one at that and it gets dirty quick and often as its a small footprint so just be ready to stay on top of it.

What are your plans to stock?

I'm just gonna do 6 or 8 juvies. I'm actually gonna set up a 20 underneath that will be displayed as well. I'm gonna use a pvc that will slip in to the bulkhead fitting to do my vacuuming.

Lots of water changes and multiple feeding Daily and the juveniles will do fine.I got some juveniles last june and most of them are now over 5 inches.Four of them show pairing behavior.

I will, they will be shipped Monday night of next week, I will have them Tuesday am. I wanted to dose my tank with reef bacteria for another week just to be on the safe side. I have been dosing since the 6th

You may want to save that 55 then for your own juvies if you are in fact getting a proven pair!

They are a proven pair from Jeff at exotic discus. The end plan is to put the pair in a 55 temporarily. Cycle a 20 gallon then put the pair in the 20. Use the 55 as a grow out

From me? No! Seriously, not bit!

I plan to follow along and see how you do. I have never dealt w/ your source but have heard good things... I don't see why you wouldn't have success... I was genuinely being kind... I don't do sarcasm via text, it never translates well and causes issues. Especially a palce like this where people are herte for help and knowledge...

Trust me if I had a problem with you or your idea's I would let you know in my own opinion and constructive way and allow you to do what you please with the info...
