Fluval 306 Pre-filter

Any ideas from past experience on what makes the best pre-filter for a 306 canister. Thanks in advance,

Use an air filter's sponge. Just cap the open end with sponge material. That way whenever you need one for a hospital tank, it'll be cycled already
