As the title, how do you discourage spawning and in which state it should be done best? Is that possible to wipe out all the eggs from the driftwood with a sponge?

Is it a community tank? If so, simply let nature take its course.

I don't mind the spawning, but when the parents terrorize the whole tank for 4-5 days every week, it's getting bad for the other discus.

Just wipe the eggs off as soon a spawning is done. They'll keep trying but at least your other fish won't be terrorized.

Just did that! The parents are a bit traumatized but I hope they will rebound.

They'll get over it and you'll have to do the same thing next week.

some discus r more territorial when breeding than others. ive had to rehome indivuduals to break up pairs that terrorized the tank. its an extreme measure, but in my case i felt (and still feel) it was the right call... although i often miss the huge beautiful male i gave away... he was such a good dad
