I use tap water aged in 3 35 gal garbage cans for 2 days. I heat and air rate 2 days . Even though the water air rated I still treat for chlorine and chloramine with Kordon's Novaqua Plus to be sure the chlorides are gone . You must heat your water the same as in your tank .

How much wc you do daily?? Water changes depend on the size of your Discus and what you feed The more larger water changes one does,it is better for the discus, I do as much as 100 % daily on most of my tanks.

And how do you work your water, the one you are putting in the tank.Fill up the barrel that contains a heater and an airstone running with water after 24 hr the water is aged use a submersible pump to pump into the tank.

Straight from the tap is ok if your water is not polluted. Just pick up a python and change the water. Just make sure that the temp is the same. Important to know the pH of the tank first and check against the tap water. Consistent pH is important, you do not want a huge swing.
