Thank you so much for selecting such amazingly beautiful and such clean fish. They are so perfect I couldn't have picked better fish myself.

The packaging was amazing also.

Will be ordering more , possibly going out to Chicago around labor day.

Thank you so much Brandon, I am so glad that you like them. And we always love to have visitors to our hatchery, so I am looking forward to your visit in September. If you get a chance, you can post a few pictures of your new fish, so all the folks can see what you received... Miranda

I tried from my phone and tablet it says failed and file to large ? Any tips? I have some beautiful shots that I would love to share. Also the Blue Diamond and Mandarin Passion have paired up and started shaking their bodys and tails also started cleaning off a cone I put in their.

Question if I purchase fish out there can I box them up to take on the airplane back with me? Carry on package preffered.

I want to be a little more detailed about my experience. Service was top notch all emails and calls were answered promptly and accommodated my schedule shipping. The price was great for the quality and size of the fish. Most fishes were bigger than the purchased size that was paid for which is always nice. The fish that were picked out were just flawless. I'm still in awe at the Mandarin Passion at how flawless it is. The packaging was top notch with blackout bags and triple bagged fish and sturdy Styrofoam container.

So here's how impressive these fish were, my wife used to freak out when I would get a 10 dollar fish than I started getting Discus and she would freak out about 40-60 dollar fish. She saw how much I paid this time and instead of freaking out about the amount which normally she would've had a melt down about, she was so happy and amazed by the fish she didn't even care.
.
Now its funny cause you see here taking photos of them all the time and posting about them. That's pretty impressive if I do say so myself.

Hi Brandon. Wow, that picture is beautiful. They look great in you tank! I'm glad you figured out how to post photos here. It gets a little complicated, not at all obvious. In case folks are interested, left to right, they are Blue Diamond, Carnation Turquoise, Snakeskin Pigeon, Checkerboard Pigeon, and Mandarin Passion. All of them are still in stock... Miranda

Im so sad and sick to my stomach I awoke to my telling me my fishes are dead. I ran down to see whats going on instantly dosed prime and started a water change. Added my bubbler which i usually keep on at night but forgot to put last night.

So far I lost a pair of discus my blue diamond and a juvenile cobalt blue. Also alot of tetras and my checkerboard and snakeskin arent looking so good right now.

I cleaned my filter yesterday snd partial water change at 2pm went to bed at 2am amd all the fish were fine.

Cleaned filter in tank water and added sludge destroyer foradded beneficial bacteria and to clean what i couldnt.

Wow,that's too bad!!!Are you using CO2?Is this why you were using an air stone only at night? And why the sludge destroyer?

No didn't have c02 on and sludge destroyer has good bacteria to help clean up stuff. I used it to add any Bacteris that may have been lost in cleaning the filter and to clean any thing that i couldnt vacuum.

I use an airstone at night just to add aeration.

This was such a needless tragedy. The fish may have suffocated due to lack of oxygen. Tetras are like the "canary in a coal mine" and will tell you if the water isn't right. In this case, there wasn't enough air. You recently added 5 more discus. Large discus use a lot of oxygen. And you redosed your bacteria (sludge destroyer). Bacteria use up oxygen when they multiply and metabolize waste. And you only use your airstone at night, which you neglected to turn on. You need to keep adequate air supply 24 hours a day. I am very sorry for your loss.... Miranda

Yes it was a awful tragedy to which I am horribly saddened. I do everything for my fishes and put so much time and care into them all day everyday. The snakeskin and the checkerboard are doing fine now as is the carnation tiger and mandarin passion.

I was watching them swim all day and all night yesterday all the way up until 2am and not a single sign of lack of oxygen no fish hanging near the top no rapid breathing. The tetras were all swimming fine when I went to bed at 2am. However I didn't have the airstone I did add an Aquaclear 110 that was moving surface tension on top of 2 power heads one that is near surface and another that is pointed at the surface. So it didn't really dawn on me to add the bubbler .on top of that Ive been studying for midterms and have a out of town clinical rotation this week so that didn't help with thinking the current aeration would be ok and I didnt even know about sludge destroyer taking oxygen or I wouldnt even have used it.

So it wasn't as simple as not putting the airstone because I did have other things running, maybe the airstone wouldve helped I dont know but I know I care a great deal for my fish and would never willfully neglect my fish.

Nice pic.To add to it;plants will also use up O2 at night.

Thank you, yeah thats why I would typically add aeration at night for the off chance of something like this. I just added the aquaclear 110 and have the 2 powerheads .There is alot of surface agitation with the aquaclear 110 alone not to mention the powerheads. I also have a Fx6 that generates surface agitation on top of that. All of this was running this morning.

Thanks Miranda, I think it something happned with the bacteria in my media when I cleaned it. I cleaned it as always in tank water not touching my bio sponge or matrix.

Im almost sure the sludge destroyer didnt even work because i forgot to turn off the UV light. I checked my ammonia level and it was elevated just now. It has been fine all this time and the timing after a water /filter change seems like to much.

The bottle says tuen to off uv light for 3 days or it will kill it so im pretty sure it was killed before it could even work not to mention i had lots of surface agitators minus the airstones.

Any which way its horrible but im thankful it wasnt worse.

Thanks Brandon
