NADA January Elections

Hello Everyone,

Its nearing that time again!

This thread is to nominate NADA members for our upcoming election. Terms of office are for two years and we have 5 seats up for election. These positions are:

President (Rick Owen)
Secretary (Pat Husband)
Board Member (Bob Balough)
Board Member (Fredric Pruneau)
Board Member (Keith Perkins)

We will start accepting nominations now. I am not placing any dates on the nomination process (closing) or the election at this time, do to the fact we are currently behind in registering new members (primarily those that registered at the show). As soon as I get an idea on when this will be completed, I will post to this thread. I do not want to hold an election with a good amount of new members not able to vote, so please bear with us while we get this completed.

The positions of President and Secretary may only be filled with an active members of at least one year. The other 3 general Board member positions may be filled by any adult member in good standing.

You can nominate yourself or someone can nominate you. The person nominated must accept the nomination to be placed on the ballot. Current Board members can run for the positions of President and Secretary. If they win then their seats will be filled after the show with separate elections for their remaining one year term.

In order to vote in the elections you need to be a current member of NADA.

Reason: The last NADA show was an incredible success and The current leadership team at NADA is a major reason this was so, IMO. Alot of work went into that show. I know many of these members on a personal basis and they are extremely dedicated to the Hobby and very involved in it. I'd like to see what they can do given more time in office.

As everyone probably already knows, this election did not happen as planned. We ran in to some difficulties getting all the new members registered into our system, and I did not feel right holding an election where numerous people that should be able to vote, were not able too.........

Anyhow, We are getting things back on track, and we will be holding the election Starting January 30, voting to end February 5. Nominations are still open, and will close January 23.
