Check out my design before I glue it all together. It's compact but I was using leftover acrylic.

I plan to drill a hole in the top of the taller end cap.

The bulk heads to the tank are slightly above the lowest siphon

Which one is the full siphon? It needs to be low enough to not suck air.

The one on the left. I didn't want to put it to close to the bottom.

not true. It does not have to be lower. When you drill the cap and add the airline tubing, it will dictate which is the full siphon and which is the open channel. Looks good to me.

ditto. You will also want a gate valve on the full siphon to adjust the flow.
