Hi Folks,
I'm not a sponsor, but I've been around here a while as a hobbyist. I haven't offered fry for sale in a while, but you can check out my history.

I have a 7+" HB Snakeskin that a got from Kenny 5(?) years ago. I'm trying to breed him and get his big size and shape in some fry. He's on his second mate and doing great. She's a nice, round 9-bar blue I bought from Kenny also. Their fry's good shape has already been commented on. I have this group of about 20 from early August that are about 1.5-1.75" now. I'd prefer to grow them out more, but I've got more coming. They're eating BBS, Al's FDBW, and Hikari Discus Bio-Gold.

I can ship, but it always costs at least $100+. I'm in southern Oregon and will travel a ways to deliver, transport negotiated.

$15 each. If you're interested, PM me and we can discuss transportation.

I'm including a couple pics, plus a link to a related thread.
Thanks

Steve

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm really trying to raise some high-quality fish on a small scale. Not much of a discus community in my area, which is why I'm willing to drive to find good homes. I've got a couple LFS interested, but I'd rather sell them here. If they don't sell, I'll keep growing them out as long as I have space. :)

I'm up in Portland, unfortunately I didn't know about this a couple months ago! Beautiful parents and juvis :)

I travel to Eugene regularly, and Portland wouldn't be that much bigger a deal. We need to develop the Oregon location thread!

Just bumping this. If you're in Oregon or northern California, I'm willing to drive a ways to find good homes.

Thanks for looking. I'll put you on my map. There's more interest in your area and might be worth a trip sometime.

The fry are from a pair of snakeskin parents, but the fry are a mix of snakeskins and turqs and who knows. I've sold most of the snakes from my oldest batch but still have mostly turqs left. I have two other batches at about 1 and 2 months (quarters) which I should be ready to start selling in about a month, if you're just interested in snakeskins.

My next batch is now the size and look of the fry in the earlier pics. Willing to make a good deal for shipping groups of about 10. For anyone in the area, I'm planning a trip north to at least Eugene the weekend of December 3rd and bringing these fry. PM me if you are interested in meeting up. If there is enough interest, I might be willing to go as far as Portland.

I'm interested in a group of 10 of the smaller ones to grow up, I'm over in Spokane near you so shipping wouldn't be killer. Let me know a price!

Here's a couple recent pics of my current batch, separated into snakes and turqs, and one pic of some I kept from the batch before. They're about a month older and around 3". They're mixed in with some of my others.

Those in the current batch are about 2+ inches. I've got another group of over 150 about a month behind them at about 1". I can ship groups of 10 to most places in the country for $250, shipping included.

Very nice Discus. All I see is consistent great shape. A good deal too! Nice to see hobbyist raising "quality" fish in smaller batches than just going for "quantity" All the best with the sale...Bill

Just received 12 of the fry, although they were held over night and took 2 days to get here in cold weather, they all survived due to proper bagging and packing. They look great, here's a picture of a few. I've temporarily got them in with some red melons and rufflesia's. They'll be moved into a 75 by themselves this weekend.104741104742
Sorry the second pic is sideways.

Holiday Special? I've still got 40 of these snakeskin fry at about 2". Groups of 10 for $225, shipping included. If you're close to Oregon and I can get you a better shipping price, I'll pass it on and go lower.

Here's a link to the 12 I got from Steve, as well as some other fish I have growing out.https://youtu.be/fL5Ooh964vQ Steve gave me a mix of the juveniles, half blue turq, and half blue snakeskin's. I've separated them for now. I'm excited to see how they grow out! Al is right about this being a great deal. $10 per fish is dirt cheap for such quality fish.

These guys are gone for now so I'm shutting down this thread. The parents are looking active so I may have more in a few months. Thanks for all the interest and encouragement.
