Saw these two at the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive. I was with Ken who is a photographer and birder and he had to look them up.

Living on the west coast that is one duck i'm not familiar with. Is it the same as a Black Duck?

Nope, different but extremely close. Same voice and behavior.

If I didn't look hard enough I'd see them as female mallards at a passing glance. Nice looking ducks though

Me too Matt, the lighter head and neck indicated something different.
