A few picks of the fry I kept to grow out from my snakeskin pair.

(Sorry about the flash. I'll work on that.)

Thanks guys. I'm pretty proud of the way they're turning out.

That'd be great Leland. Feel free to post them in this thread. I just hope I'm not jealous of the fish I sent you! :)

Looking good! Nice shape!

Thanks Rick. Ya, that was the point of committing to this pair. The male is about an 8" HB snakeskin I got from Kenny 5 years ago. I wanted to get his size and shape into some fry.

Thanks Mo - That's basically the gig - keeping it clean. I've got 15 fish in that 75 gal. As long as I change water and clean up, they seem to do great. They're from different batches, so the size differences. I'm thinking about pulling out the larger ones. Space is the other factor.

Steve,
" I'm thinking about pulling out the larger ones. Space is the other factor."
Definitely, being the kind person I am I will be glad to take them off your hands, in fact, I am willing to pay for their ticket to come to Alabama. It was 72 degrees here today, they will love it.

Were you selling these a little while back ? If so I'll be keeping an eye out for the next batch

Apologies if this is mentioned elsewhere but what are you feeding these guys now? I have some similar sized fish mainly fed on BH mix but I'd like to switch to something like Al's Discus Chow occasionally just to help with the water quality. They are ravenous for the BH mix now though, so my concern is messing with a good thing at this size.

I feed Al's FDBW and Discus chow. I've never used BH, but I've got all the ingredients in the freezer to make a mix if I ever get around to it, just to try. I don't need to make keeping up with the cleanup any more difficult though.

Those are beautiful. Nicely done! I love seeing the grow outs. They all are so unique.

My fish have done great on the Discus Chow and it really is the cleanest of all the foods I feed. They eat every single piece and it never falls apart in the water. Also since they love it they never spit it out creating that "dust' many other leave behind.

Keep updating those pics so we can watch them grow with you please.;)

Heya!

First post!

Are you from Oregon? I have been looking for a breeder here for a while now! The quality of fish around here in some of my LFS have not been so good...
