He does look grumpy Al. Perhaps he is tired of winter also. :D Killdeer are such cool little birds.

They just came back to Central Mn this weekend. I love them reminds me of spring.
Watch where they nest and get a picture of the babies..Little cotton balls on stilts!

I didn't know you had Killdeer in the east. Those are the guys who pretend to have a broken wing to lure you away from the nest.

They are year round residents here in CT.. but over winter mainly along the coast.

Neat little birds.
