So I need to connect my return pump to my sump. I want to drill two holes on each end of my sump (125 gallon) one for return flow to my tanks and one for draining to change water. My question is really about the hole saw. I have a collection of hole saws that I have used for woodworking, is there any problem with using this type if hole saw on a plastic like material?

Thanks in advance, Ken

You can use them, the finer the teeth the better.

Ive drilled many, many tanks with standard wood hole saws. Make sure it has a pilot bit in the center, and hold the drill very steady when it first hits the acrylic, so it doesn't jump. Don't force it through, just slight pressure.

I used water when drilling my acrylic tank as the heat can warp the acrylic if you go too slow
