Bucket List Photos

Despite summer not being a big time for photographer's not getting out I convinced a couple to go out with me today and we found a couple of bucket list birds. First up is the swallowtail kite. I understand they migrate from Brazil and nest in Florida. I only see them during the late spring/early summer. Found some roosting along one of my local roads. Not great pics but still very cool for me. :D

Quail or Bobwhites are gorgeous little birds and one of my favorites. They are not easy to find and tend to stay under cover. One time of year where you might get lucky is when they are pairing up. The males are vocal and will come in to the call of a female. So while out today we heard quail calling and we stopped the car and I got to calling. In no time a dirty but cool male showed up and he have us a show.
