Never seen that particular one before but these are very similar. https://www.amazon.com/Lees-Triangle-Dual-Action-Filter-25-Gallon/dp/B002DVTDL6/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1501801696&sr=1-1&keywords=triangle+sponge+filter

What's the benefit of the triangle? Not a sponge filter guy so I'm curious. Save space? Stick it in a back corner ?

There's many varieties of sponge filters available on Amazon and eBay, the Hydrosponge V style is still the best one to use IMO.

Yeah, they were on Aquabid a long time ago very cheap. I liked them a lot more than the Lee's, because they were like $2 a piece and it was nice having the airstone.

They came in other shapes, but I think the triangle was supposed to be used the way you suggested.

No doubt, there are better products available. I use mainly Hydro Pro IV's and some Poret at this point. Just curious as to whether or not anyone is selling them. It looks like a company in China is making them now (Purcell), but I can't find anyone here carrying their products.

I found Drs. Foster & Smith selling Hydrosponges cheaper than Amazon and eBay.
