Don in Virginia is now living in Baltimore. Finally got my 150g tank set up, and it's cycling. Will pick up some plecos from Brewmaster, and some discus from DiscusHans once my tank is finished cycling, probably the second week of November.

Cheers! -Don in MD.

Hope the move was easy for you.

Nice tank and scape. What type of wood is that as the main piece.

The tank looks great but I was really drawn to the picture beside it. What can you tell me about it?

Trust your move to Baltimore was trouble-free, Don, and that you & family enjoy your time in Maryland.

Good to have you back active on the forum - looking forward to seeing your completed 150 !

I wish! LOL.

That piece of wood is ironwood, at least that's what they sold it as, about 10 years ago. It's heavier than water.

Thanks, I am definitely looking forward to having fish again.

The picture on the right is from Bluefields, a city on the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua, founded by English speaking blacks, even though Nicaragua is of course a Spanish speaking country. The pic on the left is a piece of cloth from either Togo or Sierra Leon, I forget which. Or maybe from Zimbabwe, I once visited those countries, years ago.

Thanks, Paul. My setup will be much smaller than it was in Virginia. Just starting out again with the one tank, and if I get a pair that wants to breed, I may set up one breeding tank, and probably one grow-out, but that will be it. -Don

I like how you darkened the room and spotlighted the tank. Must be a big hit with the family! :D

It's going to be great to have your own discus importer in town, Willie

Don, is that a Persian rug?

Cliff

Yes, it is. My father bought it in the 70's in Isfahan.

Hope you and your family have settled in to the new Baltimore surrounding Don. Your tank and Discus look spectacular and what really caught my interest is the great 3D background.
Glad to see you active here on the forum.

Cheers...Ralph
